In May 2022, the Government of the Russian Federation announced the creation of a headquarters in Russia to provide comprehensive assistance and restore the liberated territories of Ukraine.
The Nizhny Novgorod region became one of the regions that took patronage over the cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. In addition to the Nizhny Novgorod region, whose sponsored city was Khartsyzsk, another 8 regions of Russia took patronage over the cities of the DPR and LPR - these are Bashkiria, Chuvashia, Moscow, Leningrad, Bryansk, Kursk, Samara and Chelyabinsk regions.
In June, a delegation of the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region visited the DPR, after which the scope of work and appropriate funding for the restoration of the infrastructure of the Donetsk twin city were determined. In addition to the reconstruction of the most important life support facilities, a park with a children's playground will be laid out here as a gift from the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Meridian Company did not stay away from this humanitarian action and provided financial assistance to support socially important projects of Khartsyzsk.
